As you will notice as you look through our list we always have a selection of rescued greyhounds and lurchers. Many are ex racing dogs which are young and either past their best or not up to scratch for racing purposes. To dispel some myths around these breeds:

| · | they do not need lots of exercise, they run in short, sharp bursts and then become "couch potatoes" |
| · | they make very affectionate, gentle and loyal pets |
| · | they respond to training as well as any other breed |
| · | generally speaking they are not vicious with other animals, but it is wise to use a precautionary muzzle initially until you learn about the nature of the dog. They are, after all, trained to chase smaller creatures |

Jake is a Lurcher about 10 years old who is looking for a new home either adopted or a long term foster home.
He is a nice quiet dog; good with other dogs so could be rehomed with another dog.

He loves food and is very affectionate. Jake has poor eyesight due to cataracts.
