Blue came into our care through no fault of his own. He previously lived with another male Chihuahua and had spent his whole life at home, so coming into the centre was a big change for him. He hadn’t been walked or experienced being on a lead before, so it’s completely understandable that he found the outside world overwhelming at first.

We are hopeful that Blue can go to a home with a small breed female for companionship and to help him with his confidence, he lives the farm dog Pip.

Blue can be anxious when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you, his personality truly shines. He is incredibly submissive and will gently lower himself to the ground when being stroked – a very sweet and endearing trait. With patience and kindness, he builds trust and blossoms into a loving little companion.

Lead training is a work in progress and moving slowly, but Blue has been happy to be picked up and carried to a secure area where he can run around, sniff, and enjoy himself. He absolutely loves these moments and often gets the zoomies afterwards! In his kennel, he’s known for his joyful “woop woops” – this is when he howls with excitement. It’s impossible not to smile around him.

Blue is beyond cute and has so much love to give. He is looking for calm, patient, and understanding owners who are willing to go at his pace and help him gain confidence. With the right home, time, and reassurance, Blue will continue to grow and learn that the world can be a safe and happy place.
