Meet Buddy!
Buddy is a lovely 9-year-old Lurcher who came into our care through no fault of his own. He was handed over to us after struggling to get on with the other dog in the household, and now he’s looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel secure and supported.

Buddy is a very sweet-natured boy who has formed strong bonds with the staff. He greets us every day with cheerful woofs and a wagging tail, always ready for fuss and affection. He loves being close to his people and has a gentle, affectionate temperament once he feels safe.

Out on walks, Buddy can be a little nervous and is likely to react to boisterous dogs or those who approach him too quickly. However, he has walked beautifully with several of our quieter dogs, including Tilly, Jethroe, Holly, and especially Lucy, whom he seems particularly comfortable with. With the right approach and understanding, he has great potential to feel more confident on his adventures.

One of Buddy’s favourite activities is time in the free-run pen — he absolutely lights up when he gets to play football! Watching him chase a ball with such enthusiasm is guaranteed to make anyone smile.

Buddy will need to be the only pet in the household so he can relax without any pressure. He would suit owners who are patient, consistent, and willing to continue helping him build his confidence through positive training and reassurance. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, affection, and plenty of heart.
