Charlie and Oscar are two adorable 12-year-old Yorkshire Terriers searching for a loving forever home together. These golden oldies are real little characters and, despite their age, are still full of life and personality. Oscar, the smaller one, is a little more shy but it just makes him cuter!

Both boys are booked in for dental treatment, which will help keep them comfortable and happy. Charlie, the larger of the two, has a heart murmur; however, the vets have advised that it’s mild and nothing to worry about at present, which is reassuring news.

They are dog-friendly, very sociable with people, and enjoy getting out and about. Their ideal home would be one where they can stay together and continue to enjoy regular, gentle walks and plenty of companionship. The boys will bark when they want your attention, especially Oscar, but they soon settle.

They would ideally enjoy a home were they aren’t left for long periods of time, an owner or owners looking for little companions to join them in their daily life, whether that be out for walks, visiting friends or snoozing on the sofa.

Yorkshire Terrier Breed Traits

  • Affectionate, loyal, and people-oriented

  • Confident and lively despite their small size

  • Intelligent and alert

  • Often described as “big dogs in small bodies”

  • Enjoy companionship and do not like being left alone for long periods

  • Generally sociable when well socialised

Yorkshire Terriers make wonderful companions and form strong bonds with their humans, especially in calm, loving homes.

Grooming Requirements

  • Require regular grooming due to their long, fine coat

  • Daily or frequent brushing recommended to prevent tangles and matting

  • Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks is ideal

  • Regular ear cleaning and nail trimming

  • Dental care is particularly important for the breed

A consistent grooming routine helps keep them comfortable and looking their best, especially as they get older.💙

Charlie and Oscar will both receive a Pension Plan provided for by S.A.R.A. This will cover any age related illnesses for the rest of their lives.
