Mitzi is a six-year-old cat who came into our care as a stray while heavily pregnant. She gave birth to four kittens, two of whom, Chaos and Percy, are still at the centre waiting for their new family. The other kittens have already found their forever homes, and now it’s Mitzi’s turn.
It’s likely that Mitzi has had several litters in the past, but she’s now neutered and ready to enjoy a fresh start. She can be a little independent and sassy, letting you know when she’s had enough fuss, but over time she’s become more trusting and enjoys gentle attention from people she knows.
Mitzi loves her catio, spending hours relaxing in the sunshine. In her new home, she’ll need access to the outdoors once fully settled (around 8–9 weeks) and must live in a safe area away from main roads or heavy traffic.
Mitzi is an independent, sassy cat who isn’t afraid to swipe if she’s had enough attention. However, she responds very well to gentle, confident handling and appreciates people who respect her boundaries — a little “sweet talking” goes a long way! Over time, she’s become more trusting and now enjoys fuss from people she knows.
After having to look after herself and her kittens, Mitzi is learning that people can be kind. She would suit a quieter home with patient owners who can give her the time she needs to feel secure and comfortable.
