Tilly is a 6-year-old Staffie cross with a big heart and a story of resilience. She’s had a challenging past, moving through several homes before coming into our care. When she first arrived, she was nervous, unsure, and would often cower. With patience, regular exercise, and plenty of love, she began to trust us and truly blossom.

Tilly was eventually adopted into a loving home and thrived there—gaining confidence, enjoying her walks, and becoming a much happier dog. Sadly, due to unforeseen personal circumstances (no fault of her own), she had to come back to us. The silver lining is that she returned as a far more confident and settled dog, and we know she can flourish again in the right home.

She has become a firm favourite with the staff here—everyone adores her. She’s not only sweet and loyal, but she’s also a lot of fun. One of her favourite things in the world is playing with footballs—she’ll happily chase, nudge, and guard them like a little pro, making everyone laugh in the process.

Tilly’s Personality:

  • Sweet, affectionate, and loyal once she knows you

  • Loves to play, especially with footballs

  • Enjoys her walks and is generally well-behaved on the lead, though she can be strong at times

  • Prefers a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe

  • Thrives with routine, patience, and gentle handling

Tilly’s Ideal Home:
Tilly needs an experienced, adult-only home—she is fearful of children and cannot live with them. She would also do best as the only pet, as she is not good with other dogs, although she is not overly reactive. Her perfect match will be someone who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to give her the space and consistency she needs to shine.

Tilly has been through a lot, but her journey shows how far love and patience can go. She’s ready for someone to give her the stability and kindness she’s been searching for—a place where she can finally put down roots, feel safe, and enjoy endless games of football in the garden.
