Tink is an 18-month-old Spaniel cross who came into our care with her brother, Tino. Although they were originally kenneled together, it was felt they would be happier rehomed separately so they can each develop their own confidence and independence. In the kennel environment they would wind each other up when other dogs passed, and Tink in particular wasn’t comfortable sharing her space around food.

Tink is a very sweet-natured girl with a gentle, affectionate personality. She is slightly less confident than her brother, but with reassurance and calm guidance her confidence really begins to shine. Once she trusts you, she forms a lovely bond and enjoys being close to her people.

As a Spaniel cross, Tink shares those classic breed traits — intelligent, sensitive, and active. She will need an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation. Spaniel types thrive when they have something to do, whether that’s long walks, scent work, training sessions, or interactive play.

Tink can be reactive towards other dogs, so she will need experienced owners who are prepared to continue her training and socialisation in a positive and patient way. Attending dog training classes would be hugely beneficial for her, helping to build her confidence and teach her how to feel more comfortable around other dogs.

With the right support, Tink has so much potential to blossom. She is a truly lovely, gentle girl who deserves the chance to find a patient, understanding home that will help her grow in confidence and give her the happy future she deserves.
