🐾 Daisy – 7-Year-Old Patterdale Cross Chihuahua
Daisy is a 7-year-old Patterdale cross Chihuahua looking for her forever home, and this little lady certainly has personality by the bucketload! ❤️
Daisy is a wonderful, cheeky and playful girl who has quickly become a firm favourite with us. She is full of character and has a real zest for life. She absolutely loves getting out for her walks and, when she's in the pen, you'll often find her rolling around on her back enjoying herself. She really is a funny little girl who knows exactly what she likes!
Daisy originally came into our care with Milo. They had only actually lived together for a few months, but Daisy thought Milo was great company — until dinner time! 😂
Daisy would become grumbly towards Milo around food, and when she arrived with us she was carrying a little more weight than she should have been. We suspect she may have been helping herself to both portions at mealtimes! Because of this, we made the decision to house Daisy and Milo in separate kennels, and they are both doing absolutely fine independently.
Outside of mealtimes, Daisy and Milo clearly enjoy each other's company, and Daisy loves playing with him. Because of this, we feel she could potentially live with another small-breed male dog, providing the match is right and introductions are carried out carefully. Any resident dog would need to be comfortable with Daisy's cheeky and playful personality, and her food should always be managed separately.
Daisy has never lived with children, so we feel an adult-only home would be the most suitable for her. This would also allow her new family to give her the attention, routine and understanding she deserves without the unpredictability that can come with young children.
Daisy does have some ongoing medical issues which we are currently investigating. She has another veterinary check-up coming up, and we should have a much clearer picture of her health and any ongoing treatment or management she may require following this appointment. We will, of course, be completely open with any potential adopter about her medical needs.
Despite this, Daisy doesn't let anything slow her down! She loves her walks, enjoys exploring and is a wonderfully cheeky little character. She has a playful side and is always ready to have a bit of fun. Her habit of rolling around on her back in the pen is guaranteed to make you smile! 😂

Daisy would love an adult-only home where she can be part of the family and enjoy all the things she loves — walks, attention, playtime and plenty of comfy places to relax.
Her new family will need to:
❤️ Understand that Daisy is a little dog with a big personality
❤️ Provide a calm, adult-only home
❤️ Potentially have a well-matched small male dog, subject to successful introductions
❤️ Understand that Daisy and any resident dog should be fed separately
❤️ Respect her space around food and never disturb her while eating
❤️ Continue to monitor her weight and keep her at a healthy body condition
❤️ Be prepared to continue any veterinary investigations or treatment she requires
❤️ Provide regular walks and appropriate exercise
❤️ Give her plenty of affection, enrichment and play
❤️ Provide a safe, secure home where she can relax and enjoy her retirement years
Daisy may be 7, but don't let her age fool you — she's still got plenty of cheekiness, playfulness and fun left in her! 😂
She's a lovely little girl with bags of personality, and we can't wait to see her find someone who will appreciate all of her quirks and love her for exactly who she is.
