Don’t let her petite size fool you – Buttons may be the smallest of her trio, but she’s definitely the most outgoing! At 12 years old, this lively little lady has a big personality and plenty of love to give. She’s bright, affectionate, and always ready for attention, happily trotting over for cuddles or a spot on your lap whenever she can.

Buttons loves pottering about outdoors and taking in her surroundings. She walks nicely on the lead and is happy exploring the world at her own pace. She’s in good health for her age and has a playful, spirited nature that makes her a joy to spend time with.

Buttons came into rescue alongside two other Shih Tzus, Milly and Truffles, after living together previously. The three are currently kenneled together, and while they’re clearly comfortable around one another, it’s been lovely to see that they’re each quite confident and happy spending time independently. Because of this, we feel they can be rehomed separately, giving each dog the best chance at a home that suits their individual personality.

Grooming Needs:

Like all Shih Tzus, Buttons requires regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and tangle-free:

Frequent brushing or coat trimming to prevent matting

Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks

Daily cleaning around her eyes and face to keep her comfortable and clean

Buttons is very tolerant during grooming and seems to enjoy the attention.
