Cooper is a three-year-old British Bulldog who’s now looking for his forever home. He’s a friendly, affectionate boy with a big personality and plenty of character.

As a typical British Bulldog, Cooper is sturdy, loyal, and enjoys being around people. He loves his toys — especially ones he can pick up and squeak — although his short muzzle and undershot jaw mean some toys are a bit trickier for him to manage (which only adds to his cuteness!).

Being a brachycephalic (flat-faced) breed, Cooper is sensitive to extreme temperatures, particularly heat. His new owners will need to take care not to over-exercise him in warm weather and ensure he always has access to shade, cool areas, and fresh water. Gentle, shorter walks during cooler parts of the day are ideal.

Cooper enjoys his walks and gets along well with other dogs when out and about, but he would be best suited to being the only dog in the home, where he can have all the attention to himself. He cannot live with cats.

He’s a strong lad and can be very powerful on the lead, so he’ll need owners who are confident and able to manage him when he pulls. Despite his solid build, he’s generally gentle-natured, but due to his size and strength, we recommend a home with older children who won’t be easily knocked over during play.

Cooper is in good health and, like many Bulldogs, doesn’t require excessive exercise. He’ll enjoy a couple of steady walks a day along with some playtime at home.

His short coat is low-maintenance, though he’ll need regular wiping and cleaning of the folds on his face to keep his skin healthy and comfortable.

Cooper will make a fantastic companion for someone who understands his breed and can offer him a loving, structured home with plenty of company and care.
