Milly may be 12 years old, but you’d never guess it! This lovely little lady is full of life and charm – a true character. She absolutely adores people and will happily sneak onto your lap whenever she gets the chance for a cuddle or some fuss.

Milly enjoys pottering around outdoors, taking in the world at her own pace. She’s still getting used to the lead, but she walks nicely and is building confidence with each stroll. She’s in good health for her age and has a playful spirit that makes her a joy to be around.

Milly is currently kenneled with two other Shih Tzus, Buttons and Truffles, who came into rescue with her after living together previously. While we always prefer to keep bonded dogs together, we’re pleased to see that all three are happy spending time independently and enjoy going out separately. Because of this, we feel confident that they can be rehomed individually, giving each the chance to shine in their own loving home.

Shih Tzu Breed Traits:

Shih Tzus are known for being:

  • Loving and loyal lap dogs

  • Friendly, affectionate, and good with people

  • Playful and alert, yet calm and content indoors

  • Adaptable to a variety of homes and lifestyles

They’re true companions who thrive on human attention – just like Milly!

Grooming Needs:

As a Shih Tzu, Milly does have some regular grooming requirements:

  • Daily brushing or regular coat maintenance to prevent mats

  • Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to keep her coat tidy

  • Cleaning around the face and eyes to avoid irritation

She’s wonderfully patient with her grooming routine and seems to enjoy the pampering.

Milly is ready to spend her golden years bringing joy, love, and companionship to a home that will treasure her sweet, cheeky nature.
