Elsa โ€“ Labrador Retriever Looking for Her Forever Home โค๏ธ

Meet Elsa, a lovely Labrador Retriever girl who is looking for her forever home. Despite her age, Elsa certainly hasn't received the memo that she's supposed to be slowing down! ๐Ÿ˜‚ She is always on the go, full of enthusiasm and ready for whatever fun comes next.

Elsa is an extremely loving, friendly and fun-loving girl who adores people and has a wonderful personality. She is happiest when she's doing something with her humans and, if there happens to be a tennis ball involved, even better! ๐ŸŽพ

And then there is Elsa's other great loveโ€ฆ WATER! ๐Ÿ’ฆ Give this girl a tennis ball and somewhere to splash around and she is one very happy Labrador!

๐Ÿฅฐ Elsa's Personality

Elsa is a very affectionate girl who loves being around people. She is friendly, playful and full of life, and her enthusiasm is infectious.

She is a typical Labrador in many ways โ€” food motivated, intelligent, playful and keen to be involved. Labradors are generally very people-orientated dogs and thrive when they are included as part of the family rather than simply left to entertain themselves.

Elsa is also a girl who needs things to do. Her age hasn't taken away her zest for life, so her new family will need to be prepared for a dog who still enjoys getting out, exploring and having fun.

๐ŸŽพ Exercise & Mental Stimulation

Labradors are an active breed originally developed as working gundogs, and they generally need both physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy.

Elsa will need:

  • ๐Ÿšถ Daily walks and opportunities to explore

  • ๐ŸŽพ Plenty of games โ€” especially fetching her beloved tennis balls!

  • ๐Ÿ’ฆ Opportunities to enjoy water where it is safe and appropriate

  • ๐Ÿง  Mental enrichment such as scent games, food puzzles, training and interactive activities

  • โค๏ธ Plenty of time spent with her family

It's important that Elsa's exercise is age-appropriate, particularly as she gets older. She may still be full of energy, but her family should be mindful of her joints and overall fitness, building in plenty of rest alongside her adventures.

Mental stimulation is just as important as tiring her legs. Labradors are clever dogs who enjoy having a job to do, and teaching new tricks, practising obedience, searching for treats or playing interactive games can be a great way to keep Elsa's brain occupied.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Children & Other Dogs

Elsa can live with children aged 6 years and over and could happily be part of an active family.

She can also live with other dogs, subject to the usual sensible introductions and ensuring that personalities are a good match.

๐Ÿฑ Cats โ€“ No

Elsa cannot live with cats.

She is simply far too interested in them, and we don't feel a home with cats would be appropriate for her. This is an important part of finding the right forever home for Elsa.

๐Ÿก What Elsa Needs

Elsa is looking for a family who will:

  • โค๏ธ Give her lots of love and companionship.

  • ๐ŸŽพ Understand that tennis balls are very important business!

  • ๐Ÿ’ฆ Let her enjoy her love of water safely.

  • ๐Ÿšถ Provide regular, appropriate exercise.

  • ๐Ÿง  Keep her mentally stimulated as well as physically active.

  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Have children aged 6+ if children are in the home.

  • ๐Ÿ• Be happy to consider a home with another suitable dog.

  • ๐Ÿฑ Have no cats or other animals that would be unsuitable for Elsa.

  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Make sure she has plenty of time to relax and rest after all her adventures.

โค๏ธ A Labrador Full of Life!

Elsa really is a wonderful girl. She may have a few more years behind her, but she certainly hasn't lost her enthusiasm for life. She is loving, friendly, playful and always ready for the next adventure.

If you're looking for a Labrador who will happily chase a tennis ball, investigate every puddle and probably consider swimming a perfectly reasonable daily activity, Elsa could be your girl! ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿพ

She is ready to find the family who will love her, keep her busy and, most importantly, give her the forever home she deserves. โค๏ธ
