Meet Zucchini❤️

Zucchini is a beautiful 4-year-old Greyhound looking for her forever home, and what a cracker she is just like Crouton!

Zucchini is a beautiful 4-year-old Greyhound looking for her forever home.

She is a fun-loving, affectionate girl who has a wonderful zest for life. Since arriving in our care, Zucchini has been an absolute pleasure to look after and has settled in brilliantly. She loves meeting new people and is always so excited to see anyone coming to visit—especially if it's time for a walk! Her happy, giddy personality is guaranteed to make you smile.

Zucchini has a fantastic temperament and has thoroughly enjoyed meeting the other dogs at the rescue. She is very keen to interact with them and has lovely social skills, making her a joy to walk and spend time with. We feel she could happily live with another well-socialised medium or large dog, subject to successful introductions.

Like many former racing Greyhounds, Zucchini enjoys a good sprint but is equally happy relaxing afterwards. She will benefit from two daily walks of around 20–30 minutes, along with opportunities to stretch her legs in a safe, secure enclosed area.

As an ex-racing Greyhound, Zucchini is likely to have a natural prey drive and should always remain on a lead unless in a fully enclosed, secure space. We would not recommend a home with cats or other small furry pets.

Life in a family home will be a new experience for Zucchini, so her new owners should be prepared to give her time to adjust to everyday household sights and sounds. With patience, consistency, and plenty of reassurance, we're confident she will settle into home life beautifully.

Greyhounds have very fine coats, thin skin, and very little body fat, making them more sensitive to cold weather and hard surfaces. Zucchini will appreciate a cosy bed to curl up on and a warm coat during the colder months.
